Inspired by her late Grandma Nina and her sister, Angelina Zaphyria with their beautiful voices, she has been singing since she could speak. At the age of seven, she attended The School of Rock in Roslyn, NY for a few years, where she learned how to perform with a band as a lead singer, playing back up guitar or back up keys. At the age of 14, she auditioned for NBC’s The Voice and made it on to Team Kelly. Since then, she’s been performing on stage any opportunity she has. She recently released an original song called “Wannabe”. Mikaela is also currently a sophomore Drama Student at Fiorello Laguardia High School of Performing Arts in NYC, or better known as the “Fame” School the movie was inspired by.
